Change autoarchive to work on received date

I was told that autoarchive under Outlook 2003 was changed to work against
date modified instead of date received. However, my company had Exchange
server issues and my mailbox had to be restored from a backup so the date
modified on most of my email reflects the restore date and in many cases is
nowhere close to the receive date.

How can autoarchive be made to use date received?
