I have a problem with certificates.

I got a certificate from Thawte to sign my e-mails with. Apparently people
do not see the message content if I do so. I used to think that the message
gets enrypted only if I enrypt the e-mail, but it seems to get enrypted when
I just sign it. Well..they say they do not see anything. What am I missing
here?

What version of Outlook?
