I was just wondering if anyone out there could help me
resolve my problem. The problem is, eveytime i open web-
sites such as simplemp3s.com, alot of pop-up adds appear
causing my computer to freeze and not respond, so i then
have to restart it, which is a serious pain!

I did find out and thoght the win.32 blaster was the
problem as i found it on the computer, but i resolved
that issue and d/l a patch from Microsoft, but even eith
this resolved...no significant change.

I installed a decent pop-up add blocker, which does the
trick but there are still times when the pc freezes even
with the blocker up.

Can anyone tell me why the computer freezes when these
annoying ads appear and what can i do to help resolve the
problem?

I have the same problem as you are experiencing. I found
out that when I clear the users profile it helps for
awhile. Take note of the size of the profile,(15 mb)the
avg user profile is 1-2 mb... Stil trying to resolve the
issue..!#@$%

A pop-up blocker is not sufficient. That is just hiding the symptom without
addressing the cause. Your computer may have been hijacked. For
information about pop-up windows, how to get rid of them, and prevent them
in the future have a look at the link below:
