certain images won't display

JPG and GIF files display just fine, unless there is a
link attatched to them. I checked the properties window.
For normal, text-only links, the properties window
says "protocol: hypertext transfer protocol, type: 'X'"
but in images with links imbedded in them, it
says, "protocol: hypertext transfer protocol, type: not
available"

i've downloaded the updates and that hasn't fixed the
problem. i've had this computer, a dsl connection, and
IE6 for a while before this problem came up.

any ideas?

Thanks,
Bob

I have the same problem - (W98, IE6, AMD/Athlon
processor) My browser worked just fine at a different
house over a phone modem connection, but now at a new
house with DSL, I get the same boxes with red X's. Anyone
know how to fix this? Is it an IE6 thing or the DSL
software, or the two not working properly together?
