Recently I installed Hummingbirs ltd's Exceed on my WIN XP Home edition. An
inherent problem with instaling Exceed on a profile with admin priviledges is
that it needs the profile to have ownership to all folders(long story). I
went into safe mode changed the ownership of the Application data folder, but
along the way i also changed the security of all the folders. Exceed
installed fine, and after a reboot I notices certain files would not display
the icon of the program they were associated with. I.e. word files did not
display the word icon instead they diplayed the generic windows shortcut
icon. Other files like .pdf, and other office documents are doing the same
thing, please help!!!!!!!

Alright i did mroe digging and found that the .dll files that contain the
program icons arent where they are supposed to be, they are still on my
computer but for some reason they arent in the place they are supposed to be
at, please help
