Hi all,

What is the easiest way to get a centile distribtion of data in a
Access table? About the only way I can think of is by exporting the
data to Excel, and then getting the distribiution from Excel. Is there
an easier way?

Maybe it's just me, but I don't know what a "centile distribution" is. You
may want to elaborate and you could get a quicker response.

A centile is any of the 99 numbered points that divide an ordered set
of scores into 100 parts each of which contains one-hundredth of the
total.

For example, if you have 5000 students take the SAT, the 99th centile
would be the score which only 1% or 50 students got higher than. A
common centile is the 50 the Percentile which is also known as the
median. It is the value which half the records are above, and half
below.

By Centile Distribution, I mean a recordset with all 99 Centiles.
