cell shading

Hello all,
I am looking for a way of automatically shading a range of cells takin
the value from another cell.
i.e. If A1 has the value of 25 in it is there a way of thi
automatically shading say B1:B25.

Select the range of cells that you want the conditional formatting t
apply to (B1:B25) and then click *FORMAT --> CONDITIONAL FORMATTING.*
Next change the "Condition 1" drop down selection to read *FORMULA IS*
Enter the formula below into the formula textbox and then click th
format button, select the patterns tab and select what color format yo
would like applied to yoru range of cells if the formula you entered i
true.

=IF($A$1=25,TRUE,FALSE

The easiest way to do this is by using your "formatting"
toolbar. To access it click anywhere in the toolbar and
make sure formatting is turned on.
ONce this is on select your cell that has the correct
shading, then highlight your cells you want to copy to
and choose the cell chading button to acheive the same
shading with.
