CDW/DVD drive not working

It seems that since I received an update to Windows Media Player 11, I cannot
play CD's or DVD's in the drive. I checked in Device Management and
attempted to update the driver, etc. Nothing works. I got an "Error Message
C00D11B1", looked it up and it appears to be a fix for the sound card. I
have tested the sound card and it is functioning properly. I am running
Windows XP SP3 on a Toshiba Satellite P105 Laptop. Has anyone else had this
issue? SLE
