Hi the other day i accidently deleted the file responsible
for making my cd rom interact with windows. it wont even
recognize that there is a drive connected to the system.
it is my D: drive and the device manager says that there
is no driver and to "contact my hardware vender for
assistance" but i know i made the mistake and deleted the
file. how do i find out exactly what this file is and how
i can get my CDrom working!! its the only one i have and i
need it bad!! any help please???

thanks,
Alex I

Ya, the problem is the control panel and/or computer
doesnt even know what a cdrom is. at least it doesnt
appear that way.

Hi Alex,
You'll need to download the correct driver for the CD-Rom device, and
install the driver. I'd suggest talking with the hardware vendor for
assistance with finding the appropriate driver, they'll know what files you
need.
