cdrom LTN486S

cdrom quit working. do not know why. would work
intermittently. was suggested to uninstall and reinstall
driver. will not work at all now. any help appreciated.

Hi, Terry.

Are you at least getting the drive light illuminated on the CD-Rom at any
point, either during system startup or while trying to access the CD-Rom
(From windows explorer)?
Check to see that your CD-drive is detected in the BIOS (upon bootup).
If these are still detected, try updating the driver from Disk Manager.

Finally, have you attempted to install a new CD drive?
