Do you have a third party burning program installed? If so, the imapi
burning service will be disabled to prevent conflicts. If the program has
been removed, you can restart the service on the services tab of the system
configuration utility (click start/run, type msconfig and click ok). If not,
do not attempt to restart the service, but rather use the third party
program to create your CD's.
Actually, what I stated is that *if* a third party burning program is
installed, do not attempt to restart the imapi burning service. By design,
it should be disabled if some other software takes over the burning function
for the system. Trying to run both often leads to unresolvable conflicts, so
it is best avoided. If you have Nero, then you can do anything that the
imapi service can provide and then some. The imapi service is only there to
provide a basic functionality, nearly any third party program will serve you
far better.
