CD Tray keeps opening!

Hi all,
After setting up a two machine LAN. the CD tray on one
machine now opens without any disk or user input, this
just goes on and on and on and..... making the CD
completely unusable.
Any help would be appreciated.

If only when on LAN (or online), suspect malware or live hackers.

Else suspect a tray that is mechanically unable to close properly, so
that the drive's sensors think it is still open. The expected pattern
there is one of re-opening when you close it, but not suddenly opening
when the drive has been closed a while and no-one's bumped it.

Proved to be little plastic cover strip had migrated
ever so slightly thus blocking the door from complete
closure. Thanks again.
