CD Sound Distortion

I use Windows XP and Windows Media Player 9. When I start
to play any CD I have(it doesn't matter if it was
downloaded or a retail copy) the sound is okay at first.
Then, it starts to echo and the main singer's voice drops
out and becomes distorted. I have reloaded the software,
tried all of the patches, any ideas? Thanks!

Is it a slowish PC? if it is try reducing the graphics
setting to a lower one (16 bit)to free some sytem
resource, it worked for me

Hi, Try using Analog playback instead of Digital.
