I have a text book that has a CD containing practice tests and such. When
inserted, I need to type a serial number and an access code.

I typed in the wrong serial number the first time I put in the CD, and the
computer stored that serial number SOMEWHERE. And it defalts to that serial
number when I put in the CD - which means that the corresponding access code
does not match with the serial number stored. How do I change the CD serial
number?

You will need to contact the company that produced the CD...Our crystal
balls are out of service at the moment, and we have no way of knowing what
disc/software you are talking about.

(just a thought...have you tried using System Restore to revert to a restore
point prior to your first use of the CD?).
