CD-ROM

my cd-rom will not play any computer games, it can play audio cd's, i've
installed the games several times this is the first time it happens, my
DVD-RW wont play them and the CD's are alright, is there any fix at all?

As with liteonit & sony cd/dvd hardware,both have firmware updates,get
from thier sites,probably other brands do also.You might/could also uninstall
it in device mgr,shutdown pc,power off,change the IDE connection (reset
jumper
pins if needed)..XP will reinstall on start up.
