CD rom problem

Hello,
i have just installed a new HD and set it as master...installed a new
game and the installation ran without any problem...but when trying to
start the game, the CD-rom started working for some secs, and then
stopped working without the game starting...what has happened? Any
ideas? BTW, my new hd became f: -> my old one is still c: (slave)my
two cd-roms d: and e:

Is it the game problem OR the hardware (such as CD drive) problem?
You need to identify it.
Can you run other CD game from the the new CD drive?
