cd rom not working

hey i am new at this so bear with me.my philips cd rom
r/rw refuses to do anything at all. i had it worked on
after getting the sasser virus and the pc works great now
except for the cd burner what gives?

Maybe the computer doesnt recognize the cd burner is there. Try looking under hardware under My computers properties. That might help. If you see a lil yellow thing next to it then there is a chance that its not recognized by your computer. Reply back and ill get back to ya!
