CD-ROM icon has disappeared

The CD-Rom icon has disappeared from My Computer and
Explorer. How do I get it back. It has been working fine
since purchased.
 
The CD-Rom icon does not appear in Explorer or My Computer.
This has happened on 2 computers. Nothing out the ordinary
has been done on these pc's.
