cd-rom freezes computer.

I have a Sony 2.4 gig with 1 gig ram a DVD-R and have
used it to back up file on a CD-R and CD-RW disc before.
Yesterday I used roxop CD Creator 5 Platinum to back up a
folder of 500 megs. it worked fine until it asked me to
mack a lable.
Then froze windows. It would not respond to ctrl-alt
delete. I had to shut it down. Now if I put that or any
disc that I made it freezes? Is it the software, as any
other type disc works find.
