Ok, I'm not so informed when it comes to computers so please bear with me..

I run Windows2000 with a Pentium II processor
One day my computer failed to recognize my CD-ROM or floppy drives. This occured during a two month period where there was no internet connection at my house. Now, when I try to open the cd player for instance, a pop-up states:There is no CD-ROM attached to this computer
I've re-installed the hardware, but to no avail. I'm assuming the problem lies within the drivers, or maybe in my case, the lack there of... Any advice on how to remedy this problem would be greatly appreciated

Sincerely
Jonathan

Your problem may be one of many different things.
1. make sure you can see these items in your bios if not drivers will not help.
2. If not make sure cables have not come loose
3. if you can see it in the bios you can try a dos driver for the cd-rom this may be hard to find but in my finding this is the only one that works.

The problem most likely with the bios or your board culd be failing
good luck
