Hi every one,
When I turned on my pc today, tried to play some music and inserted a CD,
waited for a long time but the autoplay did not start. I opened my Windows
Explorer and discovered that the CD ROM drive (E) had disappeared. Can some
one please help me to slove this problem?
Running Windows XP Pro SP2, Norton AV and Windows Defender Beta.
Cheers,

I have a similar problem, only I can see my CD ROM (E) drive, but I can't
open it. Also when I try to burn a file onto a CD, when I right click on the
file, the CD ROM (E) link does not appear in the 'send to' menu. If I put a
CD with content on it, it works, but when try to access an empty disc (for
burning etc) it says 'E:\ is not accessible. Incorrect function.' Any clue
here someone? please.

Make sure the "enable recording" tab is checked.
