CD ROM does not work after XP upgrade

I have a Dell Latitude CP and I upgraded to XP from NT 4.0.
Now the CD ROM is not reconized by the system. If I look
at CONTROL PANEL, SYSTEM, DEVICE MANAGER and expand the
(+) next to IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers there is a yellow
(!) next to the secondary controller. Does anyone know
what this means.

Yes, you have to install the drivers for the particular

device!
