CD ROM & CD RW

CDRom & CRRW both disappeared.They are not in my computer
folder.I checked with the device manager and got the
following message: Windows cannot load the device for
this hardware. The driver may be corrupt or missing (Code
39).They were both working earlier in the day, but after
I uninstalled and installed some programs they
disappeared.I hope I will not lose everthing I have in my
documents! Thanks
