CD ROM and DVDRW Drives

Just recently my CD ROM has been opening on its own, sometimes closing
sometimes not. Also my DVD RW will only read DVD's where it used to read all.

Please can someone help me, i am at a loss

I am having the same problem. I have a Dell 4600. Dell tells me its a virus.
I tell them I don't think so. Let me know if you find out anything please
