or
EAC
http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/

if CDex/EAC don't find you CD/DVD ROM/Writer
then download
NeroAspi driver
http://www.nero.com/nero6/eng/ASPI_Driver.html
and put the "wnaspi32.dll" file into same directory as CDex/EAC

I have different profiles set up for both mp3 and flac. I use Lame 3.97b2
exe as recommended by gurus over at Hydrogen Audio.org

Yes. I archive all of my audio CDs with flac. For casual listening at the
gym it's mp3 @ -V 2 --vbr-new
