i did what you said and ran the right side of line 264.
i now get this message:

170: qttask.exe-No disk
There is no disk in the drive. please insert a disk into
drive/device/harddisk1/dr1.

i did have a disk in the drive. now what?

Hi,

This is not even related. That exe has to do with QuickTime. My edit has to
do with allocation permissions. Good luck!

START button|RUN
Type...

msconfig <enter>

Click the Start Up tab and see if there is a QTtask entry.
If yes, UNcheck its box, then reboot.

When a message appears at start up, check the "do not show..." box.
