CD Loop across presentation

I have been working on this for a while and am stumped. I have a 20 slide
presentation that will be repeating indefinitely. I want a CD to be playing
in the background, repeating and restarting until I stop the presentation. I
have set it up using the blank intro slide and custom show method but the
problem remains the same. Once the presentation reaches the end the CD stops
and will not restart. Is there a timing setting I'm missing, or an audio
setting? The CD is set to play all tracks and loop but I still end up the
same.

Thanks.

Hi,
To have the sound looping together with the picture do as follows:
Click SLITESHOW
CUSTOM ANIMATION
MULTIMEDIA SETTINGS Tap
Mark the checkbox for the Media in the Objects Window
Choose "While playing continue slideshow"
and "Stop playing after 20 slides" (The amount of slides in the show)
Click " More options"
Mark the checkbox for "Loop until stopped"
OK and OK again.
Good luck,
Dave.

I should have specified that I'm using XP 2003. I'm obviously either missing
something or I'm explaining it screwy. I keep thinking this should be easier.
I have a 20 slide show but have one blank screen with the custom slide show
setup so the CD audio keeps playing continuously instead of stopping after
each slide. What I have now is a presentation that runs the 20 slides,
skipping the blank screen when it starts another round, which I want it to
do, but the CD audio just stops when the presentation starts again. I want
the CD to keep playing more or less independently. In essence: Slide show
starts, CD starts, slides go through and restart, CD continues track by track.

Hi,
Your explanation of what you are trying to do is fine,
the problem is, Powerpoint can’t handle it this way.
If you insert the music from a CD to the show, it will
behave the way the show is set up. You can start the
sound-track on the first slide, (you don’t need a blank
screen ) , run it through the show, and with the timing
option you can pick a suitable spot in the music to start
from the beginning. This way slides and sound-track will
run in a loop together. Same slides, same music!
What you are trying to do is, to keep the music running
until the CD ends, and loop the complete CD separately
from the slide-show.
The only way I can think of doing this is, play the CD on the Media-player
while you run the show. At the player click “turn repeat on†so it will run
“non stop†until you turn it off. ( Unfortunately you can not safe this as a
package.)

Dave.
