CD help

I used a program called 'RecordNow' to record alot of my files, When I was
done I tried to copy the files on the CD to the desktop to see if they were
copied succesfuly, I try and paste it on the desktop but an error comes up
that says: Cannot copy <filename> wanted: Cannot read from the source file or
disk.

Please help
 
Using Windows Explorer, can you open the files up from the disc?
