cd, dvd drive

my computer does not register that I have a dvd, cd rom drive. I have tried
add new hardware but it still does not register. HELP
 
Samara, check here at Doug Knox's site http://www.dougknox.com/
Select WinXP Fixes and scroll down the
right column to Restore cd/dvd drives to explorer. Click on and follow
his instructions.
