First off, yes, I did read the other posts on what people found was wrong
with XP and Movie Maker not seeing my CD Drive. Indeed, the drive was not
configured as a CDRW so I followed the instructions in the previous messages
and the extra tab is now there. However, both XP and MovieMaker won't work.
XP keeps saying "please insert a blank disk in the drive" and MM says there
is no valid CDR in my system. The drive reads and writes just fine using
Roxio and even works with Roxios drag/drop feature. I also know its not a
conflict with roxio for some reason as this problem existed before I
installed Roxio. I even updated the BIOS on my Sony drive. So I am at a
loss :) Anyone have any ideas? TYVM

Since noone has replied, I'll toss in my lame solution.

It sounds like your CDR doesn't want to be touched by Windows. What I'd do
is save the file to the HD, then burn it with my normal burning software.

But I'm guessing you already thought of that :-\
