cd drive bad?

Peter

No sound from audio cd also headphones to dvd comb drive no sound. Media
player locks up when you pause have to open drive to clear it. win xp
disable digital audio in cd rom device manager cause the whole computer to
lock up have to hard reboot. All other sound works. Cds spin autorun locks
up . Help
 
Just hanging application media player and faulting application autorun in
user32 .dll
also not in log
black screen from standby requireing reboot .
 
The drive was bad and was replaced.
