After my upgrade my burnner does not work I can not write
to it through explorer or it's original software it's
message is. Easy CD Creator 4 has a known compatibility
issue with this version of Windows. For an update that is

bill all incompatible must be uninstalled before

upgrading,since you probably have other software you
failed to uninstall use the windows xp uninstall in
add/remove and go back and this time uninstall all
incompatible software particulary anti virus firewall cd
burning pc anywhere winfax and goback.

The error message tells you everything you need to know. Version 4 has
a compatability problem with XP. You need to Upgrade Easy CD Creator. Go
to the Roxio website.

The DirectCD component definitely will not work: if you try it is likely
to stop the machine shutting down, at best.

But you can often get version 4 of Easy CD itself to work if you do the
following:

Get the download from www.roxio.com to take your version to 4.05

Uninstall the existing stuff - and use regedit.exe to delete the keys
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adaptec and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Adaptec

Get a registry patch file, cdgone.reg, from
www.aumha.org/downloads/cdgone.zip, extract it, r-click on it and merge
it into the registry to remove some redundant references - reboot.

Now install your Easy CD Creator *only* without DirectCD or TakeTwo, and
on its exit, before rebooting, run the 4.05 upgrade and reboot then.

This will probably work - if not, cut your losses, uninstall it and get
a new package
