Win. XP PRO group
I have a CD burner and a separate DVD Player on my Pentium III PC that has
320 Meg of RAM running Win. XP Pro. [SP2 not installed] I would like to
know if there is a way to play the DVD and burn the audio from it to a CD?
That would allow me to play the instructional CD without the video portion.

If anyone would respond with a "+" or "-" I would be greatful.

There are third party programs that will do this, do a google search on
DVD audio ripper.

Much data on DVDs is encrypted. Standard methods of copying such material is
frequently blocked. I use a program "Sony Soundforge 7" which will extract
audio from any source. But in this case I would open Soundforge, set it to
Record and at the same time play the DVD. All sound would be recorded in
stereo and could be copied from there to a CD. But, I have to say, the
program is not cheap. I use it mainly to create musical and other sound
effects for use in a theatre.
