For those of you that want the no-fluff build, go here;
http://www.ccleaner.com/download/builds.aspx
Select the "Slim Build" at the very bottom of the above URL.
Deselect - "automatically check for updates" - saves the app from
phoning home in the background.

Also when you download the new version and get to the part of install
options,
I uncheck everything except desktop icon - and watch-out for the Yahoo or
Google Toolbar. Thanks for the Thanks Ron
