Hi ccApp.exe seems to be running all the time in the background and i seem to have multiple copies of a programme SVCHOST.EXE running too. does anyone know if i can stop these and how.

CCApp.exe is Norton Anti-Virus core file. SVCHOST is the services launcher. You may see here for more information about SVCHOST: http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/svchost.htm. Multiple instances of SVCHOST is normal, no need to end them.
