category quick click

Using Windows XP and Office 2007

No matter what color I set to be my quick click default in Outlook 2007,
once I exit Outlook at return, the quick click setting is always "red."
Any ideas on how to make the color I select for my quick click remain the
default setting?

It appears that Outlook is completely closed. Didn't see anything on the
processes tab that looked like it belonged to Outlook. The quick click
setting stays correct during any one session of Outlook, but when I close
and come back in later, the default quick click is back to red.

happens.

I am trying to set the Orange Category (which I have renamed) as my quick
click default. It's fine during any one Outlook session. But when I close
Outlook and come back in the next time, the default quick click category is
back to red.

I have found a related problem. I have been happily using the Red
Category as my quick click, and now for some reason it is not working
as before. It's fine during the Outlook session in which it was set,
but then when Outlook is closed and reopened the setting has
disappeared.

Could this be caused by a recent Outlook update? I have my Microsoft
updates running daily and if there is an Outlook one I usually apply
it. As I said it was working until recently.

I posted this a second time in the hopes of getting some assistance, but so
far have not had a fix recommended.

Damo!

I have exactly the same problem.

Looks like an issue with Outlook SP2...

I have conducts some tests on two machines, one with Outlook 2007 SP1
connected to an MS Exchange 2007 mailbox and another machine with
Outlook 2007 SP2 connected to the same MS Exchange mailbox.

If I try and configure the "Quick Click" on the SP1 machine everything
works as expected. Set a category, exit Outlook and re-open and its
has retained.

If I try the same steps on the SP2 machine then the change does not
save and is only valid for the current Outlook session.

Another thing I noticed between the two is that Search Folders for
additional mailboxes is not available on the SP2 machine...

Hhmmmm...
