Catalyst 3.5 problems?

Asus A7N8X Deluxe
AMD Athlon 2800+
(2x) 512MB Corsair 3200

Has anyone encountered problems while installing the new Catalyst 3.5
drivers? I tried both removing the 3.4 and installing them, and installing
them over the 3.4 and each time after a restart my computer locks up after
only a few minutes. I tried using the Omega 3.5 drivers too but it gives
random artifacts without any overclocking. I wonder if an upgrade is even
necessary since I've had no problems iwith the 3.4 drivers at all. Thanks.
 
Upgrade is not necessary. ATI even says on their site that you should not
upgrade if you are not experiencing something that the release fixes.

Cory, I've found that, in fact, the Cat 3.5 suite I the first driver to have
worked without issues for me (and very well!) since the original display +
control panel Cat 3.0 release.

But I don't just uninstall the old drivers when I upgrade; I always have a
thorough system clearout.
