Catagory color question

I am using Outlook 2007 and I know how to set a catagory color to a given
event.

But somehow I have an entire day on my calendar that has become color coded.
How did that happen and how do I remove it?

The only all day event is the reoccuring birthday which I set up. However, I
have set up about 30 reoccuring birthdays and they all highlight the birthday
event, but not the entire day.

Do you know how I call shut off the color change for the entire day?
