Good! Maybe my damn vista 64 bit rig will behave itself in crossfire mode!
probably not.

First thing to do is to remove your monitor in Device Manager, then
reinstall your monitor's INF file.

Returned to 7.6 and have no problems, never had this error message before
and as it goes away when i return to 7.6 i assume it is a problem related to
7.7 and therefore they are not for me.

This kind of deductive, one-change-at-a-time reasoning doesn't quite work
with PCs...

ATi recommends reinstalling the monitor driver and AGP GART driver (if
applicable) every time the video card drivers are updated.

I've never had to re install monitor drivers after updating cats.
I go with what works for me, 7.7 don't 7.6 do.
Like with cat control centre, after trying that out the endless list of ace
event errors some due to discrepancies between the spelling of file names in
ATI ccc folder and registry entries led me to the conclusion that it is one
big piece of bloated crap and so i removed it.

( when I removed the catalyst software and rebooted, oh my.. how fast
my system is without it! loose the catalyst .net software amd! )

If they did that, then they couldn't data mine all that juicy information
they are receiving every time you make a change in CCC. Why do you think
they use an internet aware language, to brush their teeth?

Everyone wants to know everything about everybody. And it's only going to
get worse.

If frightens me just how much instantaneous power these people have. They
can change anything on our computers at any time and we would be non the
more aware of it.
