capturing software

I have an ati tv wonder ve card. The video I get on it is considerably
darker than what is on the tv screen. I would like to know if there is any
other capturing software i can use or will it make a defference. I tried
adjusting the brightness and the contrast but then the picture doesnt look
right. Is there anything else i can do to improve the picture?

Two I've used are WinDVR (Intervideo) and PowerVCR II (Cyberlink). The
display quality is better on both of these than the ATI software.

Don't bother with any of the above, bestg one to use is virtualdub and it's
free
