I captured video and am wanting to edit it to be like a silent film. Is there any way to delete the audio track that captured with the video?

Yes there is...simply right click the audio track and select MUTE

Yes, you can download the Windows Media Encoder and create a custom profile
which you would then use in Movie Maker. There is a bit of a learning curve but
nothing to grand.
