caption without page break

Hi all,

If I add a graphic to my Word document and press the right mouse botton and
add the caption to the graphic, the caption will remain on the same page. Or
move together with the graphic to the next page if there is not enough space
left for the graphic and the caption.

However, if I replace the grapfic with a newer version and I do not remove
the caption, the caption will move to the next page if I don't have enough
space on the "old" page where the graphic is.

Is there a way to attach the caption to the previous part by default?

=> There might be something similar to the function - Tools - Paragraph -
Line and Page Breaks (tab) - Keep with next (tickbox).

Thank you very much for your support.

Kind regards,

Simon

Hi all,

I've just found a solution to my problem.

I just define a "New Style..." (Format => Styles and Formatting) for my
graphics (e. g. graphics and tables) there I select in the Paragraph settings
Keep with next (tickbox) as I discribed before.

If anybody has a better solutions do not hesitate and let me know.

Kind regards,

This will work, provided that the graphic is positioned "In line with
text" (in the Format | <Object> dialog box, Layout tab).

Hi Stefan

I had the settings like that it did work. The caption was on the new page
while the graphic was still on the previous page.
