Capitalization with numbered lists

Is there a setting to automatically capitalize the first word when typing a numbered list? When I make a bulleted list, the first word automatically capitalizes. When I make a numbered list, the first word remains lower-case. I have searched a lot of diffrernt settings and options windows and cannot find anything. Am I just out of luck? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

This was a design change made in recent versions of Word for which there is
no workaround. FWIW, there are two Shift keys on every keyboard, and there
was a time when you had to use one of them *every* time you wanted a capital
letter. <g>
