Capitalisation problems mailmerging AccessXP to Word XP

When exporting address details form an Access XP database to Word XP for
label printing all the city and postcode details are in CAPS in Access but
print in lowercase in the Word labels. In other address lines the first
letter of each word capitalises as per the origibal record

Tricky,

What you are seeing in access is probably a display of
city details as upper case (irrespective of what is really
stored). What you get in Word is the real data from
Access. The easiest solution is to set the Word Merge
field to upper case - see word help.

You can run an update query on the table to upper([city])
which will change the existing data to upper case. The
danger being that any new records may not conform.
