Can't view published website in my browser

I upgraded to FP 2003 and can't publish successfully to my remote host (host
has extensions installed). He tells me the latest version is sitting on their
server, but I still see the old version in my browser. I have emptied cache,
etc., and still no fix. In my website files there are a couple of files that
were produced (not by me) that have a red X next to them. Is this
interferring with it? Should I delete those?
I'm pulling my hair out and my host is being most helpful, so if anyone has
an idea, please post it.
Thx

Open your live site in IE and use Edit w/ FP (or just open the live site in FP)
- the reverse publish from remote (your PC) to local (live)
