Can't view photos since sp2 installed

I've read through as much as I could, but donn't see my exact problem. Since
SP2 was installed, I cannot open any photos from a CD. I'm not getting any
error messages, red x's, or anything.

I double click and nothing happens. I right click and nothing happens.
This is in windows explorer and all graphics software I have. Photos stored
on my hard drive prior to the upgrade open.

Any suggestions?

Does this occur with every CD or just certain ones?

Maybe the following article will offer an idea:

It occurs with every disc I have tried so far. I'm going to try some
different ones when I can access that computer later.

Two of the discs I tried worked previously...it just happened after the SP2
was installed.

Thanks for your suggestions...even though they weren't the answer.

Here's what I found out. I tried 3 more discs and they worked in XP. I
tried the two that didn't work and tried them on 2 more XP computers and they
wouldn't work there either.

The odd thing is that they worked fine in a Win 98 computer. So I copied
those 2 discs on the 98 computer and then they worked on the XP computers.
I'm not sure what happened, but it's resolved now.

The important thing is that you solved the problem...
Thanks for the update.

Was the Win98 machine that you did the copies on
the same machine that created the originals?

No, the discs came from other sources. I just lucked out by copying them
and making them work.
