Can't view images as thumbnails or use slideshow in explorer

I've been searching for an answer to this everywhere I can think of, I just
can't find it. I really hope someone can help me.
In My Pictures, I can't see the thumbnail view of any of my pictures anymore
and it won't let me use slideshow either. I tried refreshing thumbnails, no
luck. It is just a general icon for an image file and won't show as a
thumbnail.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

Wow, thanks for looking through all those.
Ugh, unfortunately it didn't fix it. I tried both possible fixes.
