Can't view backgrounds!!

I can't see any backgrounds with my IE 6.0 with Windows
XP! I've tried un-checking IGNORE COLORS SPECIFIED ON WEB
PAGE, but that doesn't change anything. I've also tried
changing the background (under Colors) and checking USE
WINDOWS COLORS. Doesn't work either. Any suggestions?

When you attempt to view a Web page that has a background color or
background image, the background is not displayed and a white background is
displayed instead.

Add/Removed Programs/MS/IE repair...
