Can't use USB Optical Mouse in Safe Mode

Hello

I have XP Pro. When I am in Safe Mode I can't use the USB Optical Mouse.
The pointer just freezes and will not move. Thank you.

Look in the bios for something like Use or Detect Legacy USB then it should
work, mine works in safe mode.

In safe mode all windows drivers are bypassed and you have to rely on
the BIOS. If that has a 'Use Legacy USB devices' then enable that,a and
it should work. If it doesn't, I would use it on the PS/2 port with an
adapter
