Can't use TV Magazine from VCR?

Is it me or is using ATI's TV Magazine feature does not work from VCR?
It seems to only work if I use ATI's tuner and not Composite (video in
from VCR).

Also, I tried playing back *.VCR files and that didn't create the TV
magazine in HTML formats.
